About the NYCEDC Startup Internship Program (Applications Opening Soon)

If you're a CUNY or NYC-based student, the NYC Startup Internship Program — run by the NYC Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), Blackstone LaunchPad, Company Ventures, and Tech:NYC — is one of the most accessible pathways into the startup world. The 10-week program covers intern wages, payroll management, mentorship, and professional development entirely through program partners, removing barriers for both students and startups. In 2025, over 110 students were placed at 80+ startups across the five boroughs, with more than 76% of host startups working in AI and/or the Green Economy. Applications for Summer 2026 are expected to open in early March.

The NYC VC Internship Program (run by Supermomos/Everywhere Ventures in partnership with CUNY) places students directly inside VC firms and includes a free 5-day Venture Capital Essentials Bootcamp covering deal sourcing, due diligence, market research, and portfolio management. Past host firms include Newlab, Thomson Reuters Ventures, and Antler.
